Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, You're such a thing of beauty to me, Every year, you're so dear, You make the room. Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, You stand there and say decorate me, And we do, with things we find, Always a story behind. There's no Halloween tree, there's no Easter tree, There's no Thanksgiving tree, All those holidays mean nothing to me, Without a tree, They're not like Christmas time. Now it's already January, You know what that means oh Christmas tree, You're going home, we're gonna feel alone, When your in your box.

I feel like I'm slipping inside, And I'm always alive, To the fact that someday I'll die. Please reset me to the factory settings, Let me start anew, Maybe I'll find the truth. Reset me to the factory settings, I don't want to feel like I do.. All of the time. I know somehow I'll still find you, We can share the sun, (and) we can share the moon (but) Please reset me to the factory settings, Let me start anew, Maybe I'll find the truth. Reset me to the factory settings, I don't want to feel like I do.. All of the time. Re-wire my brain, Anyway you see fit. Put me in a box, Have me assembled as a kit (but) Please reset me to the factory settings, Let me start anew, Maybe I'll find the truth. Reset me to the factory settings, I don't want to feel like I do.. All of the time.

You're only half illuminated, You're always holding back, You're only half illuminated, Your face just fades to black, If all I ever do, is reveal a little more in you, Then I'll die happy. There's no point shooting back, You weren't built for attack, You're only half illuminated, The darkness you attract, If all I ever do, is reveal a little more in you, Then I'll die happy. You're only half illuminated, You're always holding back, You're only half illuminated, Your face just fades to black, If all I ever do, is reveal a little more in you, Then I'll die happy.

Sweet Amy 03:33
Sunshine, in your hair, Like a mirror reflects the pain you wear. Sweet Amy, Don't you cry, Look over your shoulder, I'm there to comfort you... (repeat) Armour surrounds you, it's easy not to care. Faces turn to outlines, like they're not even there. Sweet Amy, Don't you cry, Look over your shoulder, I'm there to comfort you... (repeat, repeat)

about

Steven P Robinson Chicago, Illinois

Originally from England, now residing in Chicago, I'm a singer-songwriter operating under the not too imaginative nom de plume Steven P. Robinson. Once described in some strange backhanded compliment as 'The King of Oxfam Folk' by now defunct music website Angry Ape for my beg, borrow, steal attitude to songwriting, I create mainly lo-fi tunes that I release as EP's. ... more
